Do You Need A Marriage Magician?

Be the best Marriage Magician you can be.

Create your marriage with your thoughts and beliefs.

The thoughts and beliefs you have about your marriage are the framework for the container that holds your marriage.

Your marriage container.

Thoughts I have as a foundation for my marriage are:

  1. My thoughts create our marriage.
  2. I can think whatever I want.
  3. I choose to think thoughts that build a loving & sturdy marriage.
  4. I am 100% responsible for the thoughts I choose to think about my marriage.
  5. I chose the perfect partner for me to learn what I need to learn about love in this lifetime.
  6. I choose to love my husband exactly as he is – and exactly as he isn’t.
  7. I choose to believe that my husband chooses to love me as fully as he is capable of loving me, in the ways he knows how to love me, in this lifetime, at this time.
  8. I believe that I am completely loveable just as I am – with all my quirks, faults and wonderfulness combined.
  9. I believe that my husband is completely loveable just as he is – with all his quirks, faults and wonderfulness combined.
  10.  I believe that the connection and physical intimacy that my husband and I have with each other gets even better and even more pleasurable the longer we are together.

You can think whatever you want to think about your marriage.

What do you think about your relationship with your spouse?

Write it down.
Get it all out.

The thoughts and beliefs you had 10 years ago may no longer fit or be appropriate.

Change them up.
What do you want to believe?

Anything is possible.

What do you choose to believe about your marriage?

It is YOUR marriage.
What adjectives do you want to use to describe your dream relationship?

Strong?
Loving?
Sexually alive?
Connected?
Supportive?
Devoted?

What thoughts and beliefs would you choose to use as materials to build the foundation of your marriage?

Write them down.

List at least 10 beliefs to build your marriage on.
Feel free to use or revise any of the ones that I listed above.

Choose thoughts that could build your marriage up and keep it strong.

Hold those thoughts in your mind for a few days.
Gaze at your spouse with those thoughts in your mind.

Not convinced?

You may need to believe that you ARE a Magician.

Conduct an experiment or two of your own and find out.
Practice intentionally thinking positive thoughts about the future of your partnership with your spouse.

Try these on.
Revise them so they fit your unique situation:

* Our commitment to each other’s growth and fulfillment gets stronger each moment of our lives together.
* My husband is completely devoted to me and who I am as a person.
* I see and support my husband as the good man that he is.

What did you discover?

Note what changes & what stays the same – and how you feel.
Do your thoughts and beliefs have an impact on your marriage?

3. Appreciate what is wonderful in the world. Write 3-5 things you are grateful for each day.
4. Reach out to a sister. Call her once a week – or every day. Ask how she is and what she is feeling. Give her the space to release her feelings without any judgment or fixing.
5. Treat yourself to pleasure. Dance. Take a nap. Sing out loud. Read a novel. Soak in the tub. Do anything you want – just for the pleasure of it.

With all my love.
From my heart to yours.
