This is my gentle reminder to you.
Take care of you.
Bring pleasure to your day.
It takes a lot to bring joy to this “stay-at-home-forever-to-be-safe” routine.
Fill Your Gas Tank
Many of us are completely drained, stretched way too thin and on the very last frazzled nerve ending.
It is just too much.
This week – TODAY – I encourage you to fill your gas tank.
I know, there are a lot of demands on you.
Some days there’s nothing left to give.
You feel like an empty shell.
The walking dead.
It’s time to juice yourself up.
I’m not talking vodka.
Take care of you.
Real care.
It’s time to fill your gas tank.
Use your senses to inspire you.
- What would you like to see?
Pick some daffodils and place them in a vase on your desk. - What would you like to hear?
Open a window and listen to the birds.
(I love listening to my dog snore. It’s the cutest thing.) - What would you like to smell?
Dab a few drops of your favorite essential oil on your wrists.
Inhale deeply and enjoy a few moments for you. - What would you like to touch or feel?
Use a soft ostrich feather (available on Amazon) to softly stroke your face – or anywhere else you desire to be stroked.
Wear fabrics that please you.
Choose cotton, silk or flannel sheets.
Whatever is a treat for your skin. - What would you like to taste?
Pour your favorite sparkling water into a wine glass and enjoy every last drop.
Make a list of small and big things that you can do for you throughout your day.
Put together a small basket of treats just for you.
Please yourself.
Today is the day.
Go out and practice.
Bring pleasure to your day.
Take care of you.

Most important. Take care of you.
Here are 5 easy suggestions:
1. Get enough sleep. Establish a bedtime routine and follow it.
2. Get outside every day. Rain or shine. Take a walk.
3. Appreciate what is wonderful in the world. Write 3 things you are grateful for every day.
4. Get a buddy. Call them every day. Ask how they are and what they are up to. Ask them if they need anything.
5. Give yourself a pleasure treat. Pick yourself some flowers. Take a nap. Read a novel. Do anything you want – just for the fun of it.
