Soak yourself up.
This is my gentle reminder to you.
Soak yourself up.
Absorb all the self-care you need.
Sometimes life just sucks it all out of you.
You end up feeling like a dried-up sponge.
You’ve got Dry Sponge Syndrome.
Re-soaking that sponge will take some attention.
You deserve rest.
Down time.
Nothing getting done time.
Put the focus on you – not the kids, not your aging parents, not your spouse, or the house or the job.
The laundry can wait.
Soak yourself up.
Take a nap.
Read a novel.
Watch a movie – during the day.
Get yourself rested – (not arrested).
You don’t need a trip to the Caribbean – even though that would be oh, so nice.
Soak yourself up.
Use your Fun, Play & Pleasure detector to find what brings you pleasure.
Do those things.
Jump on the trampoline with music that makes you smile.
Make dinner and invite your favorite friends over.
Pick vegetables from your garden and make a batch of fresh salsa.
Throw frisbee with your dog.
Take a bike ride.
Soak yourself up.
Do what brings you pleasure.
Today is the day.
Go out and practice.
Absorb all the self-care you need.
Soak yourself up.
