The Integrity Muscle

The Integrity Muscle: Build the Integrity Muscle and you can do anything.

Build this muscle and you will build your  life.

A person with a strong Integrity Muscle is a person that honors and take care with their word.

What this means is that you fulfill your promises.

Not from being good or bad but from being a person with honor and self respect.

A person that respects themselves highly enough to take full responsibility for their lives.

Your words create your life.

Once you develop your Integrity Muscle, you will come to know and trust yourself.

What you say gets done.

Period.

It’s who you are.

First — You learn to trust yourself.

Then, that becomes how you show up to others.

Someone that can be trusted.

Second — Others learn to trust you too.

Lives and businesses built upon the solid foundation of theIntegrity Muscle grow and prosper.

Honoring your word creates respect for the brand of YOU

It’s a lifelong practice and a daily challenge.

It feels good once you get the hang of it.

Once we begin to do what we said we are going to do, life begins to work. For us, for our family members, our colleagues and our business partners.

It’s very simple.

Do what you said you were going to do.

Read that again.

Do what you said you were going to do.

It takes awareness.

What did I say I was going to do? What words came out of MY mouth?

It takes willingness.

What am I willing to do? No matter what. Come hell or high water.

I gave my word. It’s going to happen.

Integrity requires mindfulness and structures to track whatyou said you were going to do.

Lists.

Calendars.

Schedules.

Post it notes.

Reminder alarms.

Accountability Partners.

These are helpful systems and structures to remind you to do what you said you were going to do – on time.

Use the structures that work for you.

One way to practice building your integrity muscle is by starting your day with keeping a promise to yourself.

Use a morning ritual to begin your day. Read here about the importance of maintaining a morning ritual.

Your words create your life.

It’s very challenging.

Do what you said you were going to do – in the manner thatit should be done – without anyone telling you to do it – on time.

AND the moment you realize that you can’t deliver on promises made –

Get in communication and update your promise.

The Integrity Muscle requires reflection to consider themanner in which your word is carried out.

It’s all in the presentation.

Delivery, style and substance do matter.

What is your word worth?
