Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places

This is my gentle reminder to you.
Stop looking outside yourself for love.

Love YOU just as you are.

That’s where it all begins.

With you.
Loving you.
Exactly as you are.

You are a miracle.

Regardless of the number on the scale.
The shape of your nose.

All those thoughts of not being enough.
Not having enough.
Or doing enough.

Not pretty enough.
Thin enough.
Liked enough.

Put the whip down.

You already are perfect.

Lovable.
Exactly as you are.
100% whole and complete.
Regardless of the body size and shape you are now.

Breathe this in:

I am beautiful.
Inhale.
Exhale.
I am worthy.
Inhale.
Exhale.
I am loved.
Inhale.
Exhale.

Repeat for 3 or 6 or 9 breaths.
As long as it takes until you feel it in your gut.

You are fine.

Exactly as you are.
And exactly as you aren’t.
Just perfect.

Starting from being enough, worthy, and complete right here, right now –
What would you create with your life?
What would you be up to?

If you weren’t “over-ing” to not feel your feelings of not-enough-ness,
What would you be thinking, feeling, doing?

I want you to imagine.
To dream actually.

Most important. Take care of you.

Here are 5 easy suggestions:
1. Get enough sleep. Establish a bedtime routine and follow it. 

2. Get outside every day. Rain or shine. Take a walk.
3. Appreciate what is wonderful in the world. Write 3 things you are grateful for every day.
4. Get a buddy. Call them every day. Ask how they are and what they are feeling. Ask them if they need anything.
5. Give yourself a pleasure treat. Pick yourself some flowers. Take a nap. Read a novel. Do anything you want – just for the fun of it.
